An interview is always a key moment.
How should you approach speaking with print, radio and TV journalists? How can you succeed in interviews? How can you get your message across effectively, be understood and taken up by journalists?
Led by a consultant experienced in journalistic practices, media training prepares you for interviews (broadcast or written press) with practical exercises.
Open to all without pre-requisites (except a good level of spoken French), media training aims to acquire or reinforce the following skills:
- Expressing yourself clearly
- Getting your message across effectively
- Handling difficult questions
The programme, adapted to each situation, includes a theoretical part and numerous practical exercises:
- Specificities of the media (written press, radio or TV) and journalists’ expectations
- Appropriation of the 3 journalistic techniques: angle, news, proximity
- Definition of messages in simple sentences illustrated with concrete examples
- Rude questions
- Practical exercises: Simulated filmed interviews; viewing of videos, analysis of answers in terms of content and form
The training takes place in one or more individual sessions of two to three hours, in our offices (not accessible to PRMs) or yours, or via video call. The dates of the session will be decided through mutual agreement.
At the end of your training, an evaluation will be given to you – but the best judge will be the result of your next interview, which we can comment on together.
